How to Add Voting To Your Stream And Style Voting Results Overlays

Stage TEN lets you customize the look and feel of the overlays that can appear on-screen to display a poll's results Live.

Add Voting to your stream

1. Click the Voting icon in the Stage TEN Pro Studio.

2. Add a new question or use a previous question. You can add as many questions as you like.

3. When adding a new question (or editing an existing one using the Pencil Icon), you can customize these option:

      • Check the allow unlimited votes per viewer box to give viewers unlimited votes (otherwise viewers will have one vote per question)
      • You can edit, delete, and add up to four Answers here

4. Toggle on your question to allow viewers to vote on the Stage TEN Interactive Player.

Add voting results as an overlay on-screen 

Note: Voting Results for your chosen question will only appear in the scene builder if you complete this step

1. Drag your Question to the Full Screen Overlay box.

2. Click the Pink -> Button to add your Voting Results to the Live Monitor.

Styling voting results overlays 

Once you have created a poll, you can customize the look, size and colour of your Voting Results. Styling is divided into different sections that will edit different aspects of the Voting Results. To get started, click the paint roller on the right side of the poll.

Global

This section can be used to make edits to the position and size of the entire Voting Results

X: Determines the horizontal position of the Voting Results

Y: Determines the vertical position of the Voting Results

W: Determines the width of the Voting Results

 

Prompt

This section can be used to make edits to the size and look of the prompt (question box)

P: Determines the amount of space between the edge of the prompt background and the prompt text (Padding)

R: Determines the roundness of the prompt background

Background: Determines the colour and opacity (transparency) of the prompt background

Text: Determines the colour of the prompt text

Note: Colour can be edited by clicking on the colour to open a colour picker or by entering a HEX code in the text box to the right of the colour

 

Results Background

This section can be used to make edits to the size and look of the results background, behind the results bars.

P: Determines the amount of space between the edge of the results background and the results bar (Padding)

R: Determines the roundness of results background

Background: Determines the colour and opacity (transparency) of results background

Note: Colour can be edited by clicking on the colour to open a colour picker or by entering a HEX code in the text box to the right of the colour

 

Results Bar

This section can be used to make edits to the look and layout of all the results bars

H: Determines the height of the results bars

M: Determines the amount of space between the results bars from each other M

R: Determines the roundness of the results bars 

P: Determines the amount of space between the result bar text and the edge of the results bar (Padding)

Text: Determines the colour of the results bar text

Note: Colour can be edited by clicking on the colour to open a colour picker or by entering a HEX code in the text box to the right of the colour

None, Percentage or Absolute: Determines what info will be displayed in the results bar

Column or Row: Determines if your results bars will be organized vertically or horizontally

 

Individual Result Bar Customization 

This section can be used to make edits to the colour, opacity and direction of individual result bar's

Answer Background: Determines the colour and opacity (transparency) of the answer background

Note: Colour can be edited by clicking on the colour to open a colour picker or by entering a HEX code in the text box to the right of the colour

Answer Fill: Determines the colour and opacity (transparency) of the filled answer bar

Note: Colour can be edited by clicking on the colour to open a colour picker or by entering a HEX code in the text box to the right of the colour

Left to Right or Right to Left: Determines the direction that the answer bar will fill

 

Applying customization to all polls

Once you have found a style your happy with for your Voting Results, it can be applied to all the polls in your studio simultaneously  

Step 1: Create all the polls that will be used

Step 2: Click the paint roller icon on the right side of the poll you have customized.

Step 3: Click the 3 vertical dots at the bottom left of the customization menu

 

Step 4: Click Save and Apply to All
