Customize your audio settings to your preference
To customize your audio settings, first click the gear/cog icon next to your local video source and open the Edit local cam menu.
Step 1: To select an audio source, select from the 'Audio Sources' drop-down menu.
Step 2: Below the source's menus, choose between two Audio Presets: Voice or Music / Game.
Use these to optimize your audio settings according to your input type.
Step 3: Click on the drop-down Customize Audio Settings menu you can toggle on or off three audio settings: Echo Cancelling, Noise Suppression, and Auto-Gain Control.
- Echo Cancelling: When toggled on, echo is reduced by preventing speaker noise being picked up by your microphone. If enabled, audio will be down-mixed to mono.
- Noise Suppression: When toggled on, this automatically filters audio to remove background noise, humming caused by equipment, and things of that likeness. If Auto-Gain Control is turned on, this setting should also be enabled.
- Auto-Gain Control: When toggled on, your volume will be automatically adjusted to maintain a steady overall volume level. If Noise Suppression is turned on, this setting should also be enabled.
